A first for me; going up 135 feet in a lift to photograph the new Frank Gehry creation on the edge of the strip. Las Vegas has many elaborate casinos, but nothing like the new Cleveland Clinic for brain disorders. A place to heal the body, and a building to inspire the spirit.

There are fundraisers and there are fundraisers. This year’s Keep Memory Alive gala was in a league all it’s own. Raising 27 million in one night, the guests dinned on the culinary creations from Wolfgang Puck and Thomas Keller, sipped Dom Perignon, enjoyed the tantalizing décor of MGM Mirage Events, hob knobbed with guests like Andre Agassi, bid on auction items in the hundreds of thousands of dollars and were entertained by Barry Manilow.

Roz and Jonathan’s wedding was AMAZING: the dress, the SHOES, the flowers, the music!
They are such a lovely couple and so much fun to work with. Did I mention that it ended at 3am? What a BLAST! The Event coordinator was none other then Goli from the aptly named “Events By Goli”, she made the day run very smoothly. Check out the cake!
Here is a small gallery of some of the images we were able to capture from this incredible day.
Back to NY again. Went 4 times last year and we’ll see how many time this year. The photos outside look totally different than the front of the Beverly Hills Hotel.
We always bring a little of our California style to NY including a spinning bride, fun poses, and lots of hugging (an sunshine?)

In LA you never know who might show up to the event you are shooting. Serena’s Bat Mitzvah at Sinai Temple had Halle Berry and Amy Poehler. They had a good reason for coming, Serena’s dad is their business manager. Serena is a talented dancer, her mom Lesley is a singer with a great CD out, so the room was buzzing with talent.

This was a birthday party nobody would want to miss. Ryan Seacrest’s party had dramatic views of Hollywood, décor by Mindy Weiss Party Consultants, entertainment by Entertainment Plus Productions, and of course a lot of beautiful girls.
Sometimes you are just glad you are a photographer. I got a chance to step “out of the box” and into the snow, to shoot gold medalist Shawn White in action along with other Olympic Snowboarders. The photos came out in a spread in Westlake Malibu Magazine. Enjoy!

It is an amazing feeling when an organization asks you to come back year after year and KMA has been using us for a long time. we must be doing it right!
